Growing up I watched the Anne of Green Gables movie and Anne of Avonlea on PBS. Later we bought it on VHS, and it was what I always watched when I was ill. 8 straight hours of laughs, tears, and imagination. After college, I realized that I had never actually read the books and set out to. I love them almost more than the films! The movies actually cover several books and a time and leave out many plot lines (of course movies always do) so it was really great and almost like a present to find other things that happened in the life of Anne. I really cannot wait to read all the rest of them as well as other if not every book by [author: L.M. Montgomery].
