Reading Raid - 5 Stars

Listening to Raid - 1 Star...and I may never recover from that horrible experience.

So I persevered until the very end and I have to say that the audio pretty much ruined my Raid experience. My rating will stay at 5 stars for the read...but I'm tempted to read it again just to cleanse me from that nightmare.

That bloody audio, the narrator butchered poor Raid's voice. Hannah's wasn't much better, but at least it was appropriate. There is nothing worse than listening to a sex scene when it all sounds the same. When the moaning and the dirty talk sounds like the same person...it's kind of like...talking dirty to yourself?? I'm probably not explaining it well, but it kind of sounded like I was listening to a lesbian couple. No offence, but it's just not my cup of tea. His sexy demands really sounded bad in a woman's voice. I'm still pulling funny faces from the memory, even as I'm typing this review.

Do yourself a favour, if you're thinking of trying out Raid - DO NOT EXPERIMENT WITH THE AUDIO. It has the potential to scar you for life (shudders).

Oh my Lordy, I have loved every KA audio I've listened to so far, but this one is not going so well. The narrator can't change her voice to a male to save herself. I'm seriously struggling to differentiate between Hannah and Raid...and that's bad. I always pictured Raid with a deep and gravely voice, not the high pitched one I'm getting (shudders).

I will persevere...

After all, this is only to tide me over until WILDEST DREAMS comes out :-)
