At nearly fifteen years of age, Joey Harker learns that he is a Walker, able to travel between dimensions, and soon joins a team of different versions of himself, each from another dimension, to fight the evil forces striving to conquer all the worlds.
Infinite parallel universe premise where the travellers are "walkers" and are versions of the same person;jo/e/y harker. They vary from one another in their characteristics, one can fly/glide, the one from a high gravity universe is very dense and strong etc. Really well written (because, Neil Gaiman) and plotted and eminently readable (hello, Neil Gaiman). It's as other reviewers have said, not his best work, but a fun read anyhow. NG on an off day is still darned good. I'm not a huge fan of YA lit, but i really enjoyed this one.
