This is the third book I have read from this author and I am very impressed with her work. She takes her characters from the lowest of lows and brings them to joy and happiness which leaves you with a huge smile on your face.

The start of this story we have Anika in a very intense and horrible situation with Cole worried that he will never see her again. He brings his family and friends together to try and get her back safely.

One of my favourite parts of this book was the relationship that developed between Cole and his father. In Inky, Cole's father was an absolute jerk and we hear the most horrible and atrocious things about him. This story sees him in a completely different light. The forgiveness and bond that forms was touching, but it was also nice to see Cole's Mum get her HEA sorted as well.

Lots of anguish and suffering for this couple to overcome, but we see them work through their problems together. They have always had a sizzling connection, but their communication with each other made them a much stronger couple.

As a funny side note...through the whole of this story I was picturing Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan playing these characters. I have not seen 50 shades of Grey, but the characters make a joke out of Cole wearing the loose, low slung jeans like a certain character and boom that is all I can picture for the rest of the book.

Really, really enjoyed this book, but I did remove 1 star because at the 30% mark I felt it lost a bit of steam and dragged a bit.

I am now a fan of this author and have already bought Nico's book. Keep them coming Ms Hartnett.
