Tilla, the illegitimate daughter of Lord Kent, bands together with other outcasts in an attempt to prevent civil war and protect Lyriana, a sheltered, visiting princess whose life is in danger.
I was in a weird book slump, and this took me way longer to read than I would have liked. HOWEVER, this book was actually pretty great. Some of the romance parts were a little... bleh, but it didn't detract from the story. I was surprised with how much I enjoyed this.
