Phillip can’t wait to leave England’s shores and be back on his ship, away from the grief that haunts him. But his children have driven off a succession of governesses and tutors and he must set things right. Almost an automatic five stars for my favorite character since Theo Mirkwood from A Lady Awakened. I didn’t think it could be done, but cross Theo Mirkwood with a pure ray of sunshine, his name is Benedict Sedgewick and he lives in this book.
Squint at the plot and it’s kinda The Sound of Music? Done super well? I am there for that ALL DAY LONG. My favorite Cat Sebastian yet.
