Murphy's Law was fun! And sweet. And romantic. And filled with suspense and danger, too.



Foster never fails to delight me, and I have to say that Murphy's Law hit the right spot. Ashley and Quinton were both characters I could relate to, even if they are very different from me. Ashley really touched me, because she was such an independent woman, but still managed to ask for help when she needed it. And she definitely knew when she should stop being stubborn, and make sure she and the people she cared about would stay safe... at least as safe as possible.

The friendships in Murphy's Law spoke to me as well, and I enjoyed wedding planning, hanging out, being busy, and how Ashley only made time for the most important people in her life. Quinton was persistent enough to make it worth it for both of them, though, and that's part of the delight I felt while reading their story.

The suspense parts of Murphy's Law were so well done, and I happened to find myself at the edge of my seat more than once. Seeing Ashley, Quinton and their friends deal with danger the only way it should be dealt with - by using security and police to help them - also made a lot of sense to me. Ashley's quick mind appealed to me as much as her humour and her loyalty. If you're a fan of contemporary romance with a good twist of suspense, this is one book you should pick up.

Murphy's Law is quite fast paced in several places, but also slows down at times. The story is character-driven, and that's another reason why I had such a good time with it.



Suits had never appealed to her. But the way Quinton wore a suit, with such relaxed ease, only amplified his masculinity.

Very matter-of-factly, Denny sad, "Hey, if you're feeling froggy, leap. It'll solve your problems, and then some."

"I was going to say full of it." She softened that insult with a smile but quickly grew serious again. "I've never talked about htis stuff with anyone before."
