My first Scott Hildreth book and another great Kindle Unlimited pick up. I liked it. His voice was much different than what I'm used to in MCs, but he was able to give that male POV a little bit more punch. The heroine changed a little too much for me. She went from being loud and outspoken to reserved in order to conform to the rules of the MC. I think I would have rathered have her be herself, arguing with Slice and the two of them figuring out how adding to her the MC changes the dynamics than her changing herself to fit his needs alone.
That said, I really enjoyed the book. I'm on to Toad's story, which I can't wait to jump into.
