Taming Johnny

This is my first read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the concept of a hard ass cop who is ex-military and all sinewy muscle. I also loved the heroine, Emma. She is a curvy girl who’s a little self-conscious and totally head over heels for the grumpy cop.

Little does Emma know, Johnny has been panting for her ever since she stepped foot in his police department over a year ago. You wouldn’t know it by the way he acts, but his tough exterior hides a painful past that Johnny doesn’t want repeated. Can Emma discover the “real” Johnny or will he shut her out permanently?

I really enjoyed reading their story. I have to admit, I didn’t think Johnny would ever not be an asshole in this book, but I’m glad to know I was wrong. The only issue I had with the book was the epilogue. It felt like it was pulled from left field and didn’t flow with the story. A nice, quick read.
