1. While this is a 'historical romance' it doesn't read like one at all! I was really surprised by that fact and it was GREAT!
2. There is BDSM (thats not really something I normal read, so if you are like me, you might not enjoy the book)
Overall, this is a very different book. Its historical but not; its a bit unconventional in terms of the relationship; its one of those books you struggle to really describe to a friend without just telling them everything that happens. You will want the box set so you can just get all of their story in one swoop! I found the characters really likable by the end which I wasn't expecting (I was NOT a fan in the beginning!). I think that any book that can make me change my mind about a character is a well written book.
If you like your romance a little dirty, this is a great series! Don't think you like historical? Trust me, you won't even feel like your reading historical!
