The happiness!) So food writer and stylist Rachel Johnson has gathered 40 of her most over-the-top unicorn creations, including:
  • Rainbow Sprinkle Waffle Cake
  • Unicorn Movie Mix
  • Vanilla Sprinkle Puff Cereal
  • Tie-Dyed Grilled Cheese
  • Unicorn Universe Baked Donuts
  • DIY Rainbow Pasta
  • Glitter Pink Strawberry Marshmallows
  • Sprinkle Cake Truffles
Curated for maximal magic and presented in swooning full color in a gift-ready package, it’s an expression of pure sugary joy.

The recipes are a bit hit-or-miss here. I think the instructions on things like unicorn bread, cake, grilled cheese, etc. can be very useful. On the other hand, there are also recipes for unicorn soup (just make soups in six different flavors/colors) and unicorn vegetable trays (cut up vegetables in rainbow colors and organize them in a rainbow....). Obviously, some of these things are not really that hard or creative and seem to be used as filler in the book; no one would actually need instructions to do this. I recommend skimming the book or getting it from the library to see how many of the recipes you would really use before purchasing. On the other hand, as another reviewer mentioned, the simplicity of many of the recipes would make the book great for tweens or teens (though there are alcoholic drinks in it, which suggests the author did not imagine the audience as minors).
