I understand that architecture and interior design showcase books and magazines are designed to show the possibilities of spaces, but NONE of the 150 houses looked even remotely livable. The majority of the designs were completely sterile and really didn't look much like houses. The advice ranged from ultra obvious "You can make a small space airy by choosing minimal architectural details." to the (nearly) indecipherable "The height of the repeated simple volume of each room, a one-way sloped cathedral ceiling and openings on multiple sides make the rooms seem larger than they are."

The photography was adequate to good.
