An Alpha's Path, Redwood Pack Book 0.5 can be read as a standalone or as the beginning of the Redwood Pack series.
An Alpha's Path is a paranormal romance that is told in the first-person point of view of Kade and Melanie.

Melanie is a scientist that has just finished her thesis and is in between jobs. Her best friend Larissa believes that it’s time Melanie gets out and has a life so she sets her up on a blind date that will change her world and life forever.

Kade is the Heir of the Redwood Pack and the Alpha in training. His brother Jasper thinks that Kade needs to let loose for a night. When Kade catches Melanie’s scent he knows she is his mate. Now he has to try and convince this human he is not crazy and that they are meant to be together.

I enjoyed my first book by Carrie Ann Ryan and I am looking forward to more of the Redwood pack and more Carrie Ann Ryan novels.
