I wasn't entirely sure about this book. It has a very very slow start I felt.
I still feel that there is far too much "filler" in the first 10 or so chapters. It was getting to a point where I was about to put the book down.... But that all changed once our dear Lucien *finally* made it to the scene.
Suddenly the whole book change. It became exciting, romantic suspence kept me captivated, and fighting scenes that really held my attention.
I am a huge fan of archaeology and history, and I absolutely love that thus series has a large part of this implemented. That our heroine has the same interests is also a huge bonus for me. :)
So in the end I'm glad I stuck to it.
This book ends on a serious cliffhanger though, so be warned!
The good thing though? There's no need to wait, you can just move straight on to the 2nd book. Yum yum.
