I borrowed this Canadian graphic novel from the library, along with volume 2. It's quick little read, set in Montreal a few years after an accident at a nuclear power plant has plunged Montreal into an eternal winter. The story follows Flavie, a snowmobile delivery courier, as she goes about her life in this nuclear wildlife. Filled with some good Canadian humour, the story also has some sci-fi touches, as many of the characters have minor mutations, caused by the nuclear accident. It's also a story bout survival and how to navigate life, not just in a post-nuclear landscape, but also in young adulthood. It's well-drawn and well written, and worth checking out.
