Just a quickie review. If I was to take a step back from this book I would say that this is not my type of book. Angsty is putting it mildly. We're faced with decisions of commitment, fidelity, loyalty and love. Is a child worth staying in a love-less partnership? Should you hurt a loved one to protect them? Is a safe and stable relationship better that being with your one true love?
All of these questions are asked in Mack Daddy and I can confidently say that I was happy with the results. Yes, there were times I shook my head and tutt-tutted, but I got it. None of the issues faced had easy answers. Sometimes you have to deal with the hard stuff and face confrontation. It's just a matter of living with the decisions you make.
I enjoyed Mack Daddy and the characters introduced. I wouldn't say this was an overly steamy romance as it was definitely a slow burn and took awhile to get there. When the action did take place you could definitely feel the connection.
I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.
