Feelings (Little Pim)

by Julia Pimsleur Levine

"The Little Pim book series" adapts the most successful and effective elements of the DVDs to promote 'fun with languages' for young children. Each book utilizes the animated Little Pim panda to narrate the story, as well as photographs of objects for the language-learning portion. In addition to English, the stories feature Spanish and French, the bestselling languages for Little Pim. Pronunciation guides for parents are included. 'Feelings' showcases emotions interwoven into a hide-and-seek story. The story features Little Pim, and concludes with a meaningful review of the words learned.

These Little Pim books are interesting for early language learners. Really one could come at it from any of the backgrounds for Spanish, English or French. My preschooler loves these, although right now her other languages are just noise, but it opens up a conversation of other things out there and introduces the topic which I think at this point is the point. As for board books, with pull tabs and lift the flaps, this is really good quality and the first couple times we messed with it, it was difficult for myself or even the Enginerd to pull certain tabs, but with use has become more friendly. I assume that will make this a much longer standing read and last through several children.

*Thanks to Abrams.*
