When I started reading this book, I realized I had already read it last summer as part of the collection Cherish, which is no longer available.  But I also knew that I wanted to read it again to relive the story.

I love the tender love that Salem has for her grandmother who is dealing with dementia, caring for her despite the painful and exhausting job that it is.  She has to deal with harsh criticism from the dear one who used to only give her love and compliments due to the disease that affects her mind like this.  On top of this is her ex-boyfriend who is possessive, controlling and unkind and not wanting her to be with anyone but him.

Jett has such a tender heart and desires to seek God's will for his new life.  I love the way he just jumps in to help in so many ways, from helping cart boxes and furniture around to playing the guitar to help distract Salem's grandmother.  And that he is willing to not kiss Salem until he knows he can commit to her, despite the fact that he really wants to.

I'm so glad I read the book again.  I enjoyed every minute despite the fact that as I read, I remember things that were coming next.
