Betrayed by the two persons she trusts the most, Josie jumps at the chance to trade places with her twin in a parallel universe until Josie becomes trapped in a dangerous world where shadowy creatures feed on human flesh.
In the acknowledgements, she mentions the difficulty she had writing this. Needless to say, it showed. The concept is good, but that's about where it ends. Yes, I did enjoy it for a quick read, but there is still little to be desired. Unexplained change of hearts, silly romance that developed too late, and plenty of dead ends. There is some set up for a sequel--wouldn't be too surprising as everything is a series now. However I feel like this book would have been better off with a different ending in either case. For me, it feels like she gave up and jotted down the first ending she could come up with.
