Visions In Death by J D Robb

Visions In Death (In Death, #19)

by J D Robb

She sat, her hands folded tightly together on her lap. She breathed in and out once. 'He took her eyes . . .'

As Elisa Maplewood walks her dog in the still twilight of Central Park, she is oblivious to the man lurking behind her. Later that night Lieutenant Eve Dallas gets a call: a young woman's body has been found on the rocks, wearing nothing but a red ribbon. And, more horrifyingly, she is missing her eyes.

Eve's investigation is thrown off course when an exotic and headstrong psychic, Celina Sanchez, insists she saw the murder in a vision. Eve dismisses her, but as the murders become more brutal, the visions more vivid, and Eve more desperate, Eve and Celina form an unstoppable team.

OMG this is my new In Death favorite! The relationship progress was great - Eve's family of friends becomes that much more evident in Visions in Death and I just loved seeing all those relationships. Huge progress in Eve's relationship with Peabody, there already so close but it's getting even closer. And I was in stitches with Mavis talking about being pregnant and delivery with Eve and Roarke. Easily a top favorite scene! On top of that, the mystery was intense and I was literally shocked in the last hour by a development that Eve uncovers. It got brutal and I couldn't stop until it was over - at 2:30am. Loved it!
