The book begins with Kenley entering the a Dallas Details photo shoot to show off her chocolate skills. Kenley is pretty, not just your average pretty but out of this world stunning, pretty. You may think wow I wish that was me but no one is interested in what Kenley has to say. They just see a pretty blonde and assume there's nothing else there. That is until Kenley starts to talk about chocolate. The minute Kenley talks about her passion people take note and listen. Kenely has had her heart broken and is now all about her company Confectionery Consultations that is until a certain hockey star comes to her defence.
Dallas Details want Kenley to be a seductress for their photoshoot. This is not the professional image that Kenley wants to promote. She stands her ground and refuses to wear the skimpy dress they have provided for her. Just as Kenley is about to walk out Nate Johansson provides the magazine with an ultimatum they just can't turn down.
Nate Johansson is a drop dead gorgeous hockey star. With short dark hair, tattooed arms and a smile that will make any girl forget her own name this man is HOT!!! But Nate has been hurt by the two people he thought he could trust in this world. When he was traded to Dallas his plan was to be all about hockey that was until he met a certain blonde chocolate lover.
One of the things I love most about this book is the instant chemistry between Nate and Kenley. From the get go you know that they are meant to be, even if they don't. Aven has a way of making their interactions jump of the page.
Aven's writing is so magical that you feel like you are sitting right next to the characters. You don't just feel like you're reading the book but that you're part of it. I loved every single page of this book and I didn't want it to end.
I have to say that Aven has a lot of excellent work in the pipeline and I can't wait to see what she produces next.
