Furthermore, I enjoyed that differentiating between good and bad isn't as easy anymore. At some point not even the Beaudelairs are sure whether they are still "good". It's great how the writer incorporates this little crises everybody goes through at some point in his or her life, doubting your own decisions.
We don't really learn much new stuff about the big mystery, but hey, maybe in the next part: The Slippery Slope.
Another great novel by Lemony Snicket, this time being more direct and even more intense!
