I’m amazing by the sheer number of emotions they can cram into a single issue here. There’s curiosity and humor, which can go hand and hand pretty easily (especially in the world they’re showing us). Some shock and even a bit of revulsion, again with the world they’re visiting that makes sense. But then there are bitter sweet moments that are brought to us by the characters. Those are the ones that really get me.
That being said, I’m actually really curious about the world and little critters we’re seeing here. It’s being shown as a clear parody of Alice in Wonderland, but we’ve seen enough to know that the characters’ assumption of this is not correct. There is something very wrong in the world here, and I can’t wait for them to reveal what (I’m assuming that will happen in the next issue).
