After discovering that she is not human, twelve-year-old Alice Mayfair is on a mission to find out who and what she is, but she must do it alone because her best friend Millie Maximus, an undersized Bigfoot who lives in the forest near Alice's school in upstate New York, is focused on fulfilling her dream to sing for a nationally televised talent competition.
I received this ARC as part of Miss Print’s ARC Adoption Program. I really liked how the story progressed from the first book. You got the issue of Millie wanting to be a normal no fur and her only goal is to sing on the competition show The Next Stage. Then you have Alice who feels she must be a Yare cause she in now way feels she fits in with the no furs and that her parents must of stolen or adopted her from some Yare tribe. Then you got Jeremy who all his life has been hunting big foots and had his discovery ruined in the first book but did gain the attention of some secret government organization.
This story easily kept me reading into the late hours of the night eager to know what was going to unfold next. I think anyone who feels like they never belonged will enjoy this story. It has moments that may of seemed a bit out their but this is a fictional story guys keep reading. Thanks to Misprint for allowing me to adopt this wonderful arc. This a great middle grade novel that everyone should read. Also loved the ending perfect cliff hanger to get you itching for the next book.
