Just didn't grip me. The story ended with no positives to look forward to. Everything was in shambles all the couple's were heading for disaster and the connection between the King and his Mate Terra just didn't feel solid enough.
This was the first book in the series, so there are things to be set up and explained, but there was too much going on. The explanations were disjointed and hard to believe. The twins started their journey with Terra supposed to get married to some guy she doesn't love in 2 days and then she's in this alternate world and her fiance is forgotten.
When starting this story, I was under the impression it was going to be the story of the Dragon King finding his mate. Yes some of it was, but a lot of it was about Terra's twin sister and the King's war advisor Arin.
There was no sexy bits at all and it ended without much incentive to go on IMO. This book was free and the next one isn't, I think I'll pass.
