Beholden To You can be read whether you have read The Killer Next Door Trilogy or not. There are some references to what has happened between Kate and Roger but it does not make you all that confused if you haven’t read them. I loved Mac and Natalie, both had lost their parents and although Natalie was the most insecure out of the two as she had also recently lost her sister, there was something about Mac that made her want him. Marrying in Vegas but being so drunk they agree when waking up that they will file for an annulment as soon as they get back home. Neither really want this and Mac goes all out to let Natalie know how much he cares for her even though they have only really just met.
This was a lovely romance, with a little bit of a stalker thing going on too. It was well written and I cannot wait to read more from Carlie Sexton.
