This story had an interesting premise that sucked me in right away. I loved being in Lizzie Kent’s head, she is snarky and quirky and just the right amount of sarcasm to help me relate to her.

Ash is a bit of jerk at times, but I could tell he didn’t really mean to be a jerk. He just wants Lizzie to look at him the way she used to. He’s so used to getting his way that he pulls out all the stops to get his way with Lizzie.

They both have to learn to compromise and learn to love the grown up versions of each other. I really liked that they did have issues, that it wasn’t just he’s rich, and sweeps her off her feet and there are no problems. It was nice to read a story that even with the rich superstar plot there was a healthy dose of realism thrown in.

I look forward to trying more stories by Jackie Ashenden, she has a style that I enjoyed.
