I wonder why the acknowledgements mention a local incident of boycotting a MRA shop, but not Steubenville and rapist that only got 6 months?

I love a lot about this, the three main characters, the conversations around sexism, the random perspectives thrown in, the Girl Boss principal, the ramped up climax and justice filed ending. (though the tribulations of trial & punishment are left out).

But I'm an atheist so all the god shit was a bit much. And hitting your head, then becoming liberal? Why couldn't she have done it consciously? Such a convenient cop out, like we're just wired to either side of our bullshit two party system.

The conservative teen girl perspective pissed me off. Do we really need to be more welcoming to the kind of women that raise rapists and white supremacists? No. They want to band together, fine. My feminism is intersectional, not bullshit.

White women are the foot soldiers of the patriarchy. As much as I loved and enjoyed it, it can only go so far. This would have been helpful growing up in a racist conservative small town. I like to think it'll still help kids out today. But we need to push farther & do better, not stagnate in white riot girl power.
