I loved seeing these two come together and just how far they've come by the end of the book. Their pasts are just absolutely tragic and you can see why it has scarred them so deeply. Not only am I fan of what Kyle does for Kalani, I love what she does for him. It's not a great thing to see Kyle who was just emotionally disconnected from everything until Kalani dives into his life. She brought him back to life and it made him want to finally face his past so he could finally just be present.
And Kyle gets intrigued by Kalani's bucket list and wants to do everything he can to help her cross everything off that list. For a while, he doesn't know why she has the list in the first place, but it just fuels him more and eager to know why she has it.
Overall, it's a beautiful story for these two, I was hoping for a bit more since it's an emotional read. But it didn't quite tug at me like I hoped it would.
