Only to discover just how uncertain their futures really are.

Maddie struggles with the challenges of dating a rock star whose career has come roaring back to life while Nikki faces the daunting realities of mothering twins at forty-seven. Avery buries herself in a tiny home build in an attempt to dodge commitment issues, and Kyra battles to protect her son from the Hollywood world she once dreamed of joining. And Bitsy is about to find out whether the rewards of seeking revenge will outweigh the risks.

Luckily, when the going gets tough, the ladies of Ten Beach Road know that their friendship--tried and tested--can chase away the darkest clouds and let the sun shine in...

My Review Of

Best Beach Ever by Wendy Wax

The Do-Over ladies are back and I was so happy to receive this ARC from Wendy Wax. I dove right in and thoroughly savored every bit of this book.

I will tell you why I think that this installment is my favorite so far.

  • We really get in-depth with the ladies and their issues

  • The focus is on the ladies in this book and I really felt like I got to know each of them a bit better by the end of the book

  • I loved the multiple story-lines of their lives

  •  Maddie, Nikki, Avery, Kyra, and Bitsy  seem so real to me and with each book in this series the ladies have developed in character so much I feel as if I actually know them!

  • Their friendship has grown immensely since the first book in this series and I love to see these women cheering each other on rather than resenting each other.

The ladies are now living in cottages at the Sunshine Hotel and Beach Club and feeling relief that their troubles have come to an end, financially that is , except for Bitsy who is broke due to her horrible low life husband Bertrand who disappeared with a stripper and all of Bitsy's money! Each of the ladies is sttruggling with their new reality life rather than a reality show. Nikki is trying to do everything for her twins on her own  and is exhausted but feeling like she needs something more than just being a wife and mother. I could definitely relate to Nikki. Avery keeps pushing Chase away but at the same time wants him all to herself. Maddie still is feeling unworthy of her mega famous rock star Will's love and is still wondering why her out of all the women that Will could have. I just love Will and Maddie together and their romance is probably my favorite one in this book. Maddie struggles to fit into Will's life on the road but seems to find a niche for herself with the tour. Now Kyra is the one that I wanted to shake and say wakeup!! Daniel the famous movie star is a shallow, self serving and egotistical jerk. I was rooting for Kyra and Troy to get together but Kyra is just still so drawn to Daniel. Bitsy I think really finds herself in this installment , she finds out about people that really have nothing in life and realizes that yes while she has lost all of her money she still has a roof over her head and a strong support group with the women.

I am putting this book at the top of my favorite books that I have read so far this year. This book is my favorite beach read of 2018. I look forward to next year to see what Maddie, Nikki, Avery, Kyra, and Bitsy are up to and how they are doing.
