Hearts of Blue was exactly what I expect from LH Cosway. I have loved this series and I think this cover is probably one of my all time favorites! Its just stunning. Snap (Karla) and Lee are lovable characters. Lee is an actual bad boy-he is breaking the law frequently. Karla is literally a good girl-she is a cop. These two define star crossed lovers. Yet, the story isn't cliche at all! You truly cannot condemn Lee for his choices and you can totally understand Karla's struggle. As much as you want them to be together, you completely understand and agree with why its so difficult! And through it all, LH Cosway makes you genuinely love both of them-flaws and all. It really is a great book! The plot moves along well, you get a peak at Alexis during her separation from King (you don't have to read King of Hearts first, but it will spoil a few things for you if you don't!), and you get to meet the rest of the Cross boys (with whom the series will continue!). Honestly, I am beginning to think LH Cosway is unable to write a book I don't love. She gets me every time!
