Thankfully second chance romances have been really hitting the spot for me and LLV does them so well. I guess groveling and the touch of emotions is what I need to get me through a story. With Louis regretting almost instantly breaking things off with Calloway before he enlisted, for years he just waited in hopes she'd come around. But that didn't quite work out for him like he hoped.
One of the interesting aspects that LLV touched on was severe anemia, which was something the Calloway has dealt with for a long time. I found out I was anemic while in high school, it was never severe for me, but I never knew the lengths of it, if it were severe.
I can't express this enough, but LLV writes my favorite stories. I've loved just about every single one that I've read and I can't get enough of them. She pulls all these different things into her stories while giving us characters that you'll love almost instantly.
