Grace proved that she knew her own heart and was going to follow what her heart wanted, even if in the end she was hurt. She was determined to care for Colin and was willing to go against her parents wishes to do so, knowing what that would mean for her socially. She knew how she felt about Colin and she needed to take care of him, no matter how he might feel about her.
Poor Colin spent most of this installment in a drug induced stooper, but we get a first hand look at exactly how he feels about Grace. His confusion about the events that led to the coaching inn may have made made things worse with Grace, but her stubbornness in not letting him speak his mind on what his feelings are for her are what really led to the ending of the story.
I'm on pins and needles waiting for Part 3. Grace and Colin are a couple I'm pulling for, if they can get pas their own thoughts and biases. If you haven't done so already, pick up Part I. This is one series that you must read in order and you don't want to miss out on this couple.
