3 maple leafs… Inked Persuasion is the first book in the Montgomery Ink: Fort Collins series and is an enemies-to-lovers, next-door neighbor romance.

Annabelle... An architect who works for her family's business. She married her best friend as his dying wish and lost him just weeks after they were married.

Jacob... A lawyer who has returned home to Fort Collins to start over and help his parents while his mother is battling her illness. Annabelle's enemy and brother to her late husband.

Story… Jacob returns home to Fort Collins and much to his dismay, his new neighbor is none other than his late brother's widow Annabelle, who he thinks married his brother for all the wrong reasons. Once the truth is out in the open, Jacob and Annabelle fall into a friends with benefits relationship but they are both afraid to go any further. That is until they are ripped apart by jealousy.

My thoughts… A good introduction to the Fort Collins Montgomery clan. I am not a huge fan of Jacob and how he constantly jumped to conclusions. Annabelle was a little too timid for me. I did not expect the twist and it made things interesting. Overall I struggled with this one as I did not get the connection with the main characters.

Audio... Aaron Shedlock and Emma Wilder did a good job with the narration of the story and brought everything to life.
