Red and Her Big Bad Dom is the second book in the series Once Upon a Dom by Sydney St. Claire. This book is best read as part of the series and not as a standalone because this book overlaps the timeline in book one.
Lucy Sanchez only has one rule in her life and it’s no geeks. She meet a Dom and a local BDSM club however, he does not tell her his name and only goes by the name The Wolf. He even has a wolf mask. Lucy is slowly realizing how unbalanced her life is, how sex without romance is not as fulfilling. As Lucy gets to know Graham her perception changes.
Graham Winters is a wealthy computer genius. He is in love with Lucy and tries to pursue her all the time. Graham is a Dom who while he can’t get Lucy as Graham creates a masked Dom who goes by the name The Wolf. Graham is now at a loss as to how to explain it to Lucy without her getting upset at him.
The connection between Graham and Lucy is intense. The sex scenes were scorching. I loved that while Lucy won’t give Graham a chance during the day, she has no problem with him as the masked Dom “The Wolf”.
I found this book well written with a unique plot. I enjoyed how the author incorporated BDSM and a fairy tale. The main characters and the secondary characters were intriguing. While the ending was a little predictable, the journey that Graham and Lucy take toward each other is the focus of the story and not really the end. Overall, this was a very captivating book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
