This books is so packed with information, it is overwhelming. He's also organized itty topic rather than chronology so for research purposes, this is ideal, but as a straight read, a little heavy. Nonetheless, Condignly pulls from so many sources and has no issues calling out what is heavily fictionalized or speculated. This book is an excellent resource for anyone who is interested in the true, grisly, not-so-dramatic history of notorious and lesser known pirates.
