This was a short story.

I felt that the first 15 pages or so were a little jerky. The conversation with between Fern and her maid with her heavy accent was an awkward beginning, and didn't help you jump into the story. The first dinner where she meets her intended didn't go well since Fern was not allowed to wear her glasses, so she couldn't really see his face clearly.

It picked up when Rick and Fern met again the next day although we do have a bit of a reverse superman/clark kent thing when now that she has her glasses on she doesn't recognize Rick at all.
