To be honest I am not a huge fan of this cover. It's a bit on the cheesy side. That said the composition is excellent. It makes great use of graphics. It's a fairly good representation of the story, and I have certainly seen worse.

Where do I start? I think I mentioned this in my last review that I don't believe that this author can write a book I don't completely love. I didn't realize when I started this one that Mason was the son of Julian from Mercy, Bound, Released.I may have let out a very unladylike squeal when Julian made a brief appearance. And let us just say the apple didn't fall far from the tree for sure.

So deets. I found this one to be well written and nicely paced. If you've read Mercy, Bound, Released then you will already know just how dark, twisted and royally FUCKED UP this family is. Murder is their game, and they play it well. There was blood, gore, and debauchery. Some hot sex scenes and a whole lot of dubious consent. As I said, the apple didn't fall far from the tree, and Mason was delightfully sadistic, and I loved him (not even sure WHAT that says about me). Katie, I enjoyed as well. She wasn't remotely as vicious as Mason, but the seeds have been planted. Other than the huge cliffhanger twist I wouldn't say there were a lot of twists and turns in this one but the author set up the next half of the story well.

Not much else to say really. This was a darkly twisted read the likes of which I eat up by the bookful, and I am dying to get my hands on book two. Two thumbs up from yours truly.
