Driftwood Bay by Irene Hannon

Driftwood Bay

by Irene Hannon

After tragedy upends her world, Jeannette Mason retreats to the tiny Oregon seaside town of Hope Harbor to create a new life. Vowing to avoid emotional attachments, she focuses on running her lavender farm and tea-room--until a new neighbor with a destructive dog and a forlorn little girl invades her turf. But she needn't worry. Dr. Logan West is too busy coping with an unexpected family, a radical lifestyle change, and an unruly pup to have any interest in his aloof and disagreeable neighbor.

Yet when both Jeanette and Logan find themselves pulled into the life of a tattered Christian family fleeing persecution in war-torn Syria, might they discover that love sometimes comes calling when it's least expected?

Bestselling and award-winning author Irene Hannon invites readers back to the charming seaside town of Hope Harbor, where they are sure to find peace, healing, and a second chance at happiness.

When I read an Irene Hannon novel, I instantly think Romantic Suspense. But, with Driftwood Bay, Irene Hannon takes us on a softer route. We still get the character chiseled to perfection, the captivating plot lines, and the page turning awesomeness. It’s a welcomed reprieve from her up-late, heart pounding suspense stories.

The characters in this novel will pull you in and become your family while you read their story. You’ll find yourself falling in love with them all. I absolutely loved that Hannon had a character named Molly! Bless her, I wanted wrap my momma arms around her so much! Logan West, Molly’s uncle, is absolutely awesome. I fell head over heels in love with him the moment he was introduced, and Jeanette was beautifully chiseled! Seeing her interact with Logan, and Molly was beautiful.

This novel has every emotion you can feel wrapped up inside of it. I found myself smiling and laughing (seriously! Who names seagulls?), crying (so much tragedy in one story), and angry (how can God let something tragic happen?). But, it’s all needed to round out this awesome novel. You’ll find yourself reaching the end of the book way too soon, but you’ll also find your heart a little lighter as you read this story of hope, letting go of the past, and living for the future. Grab a copy now and take a trip to Driftwood Bay with Hannon’s 4 star writing!
