So book 5! I still love this series like it was the 1st! I will say I missed Jaz in this book, however the introduction of Kate, aka Katja, and Madison was refreshing.

I do not know what I can say about this book otherwise than I love the series. I love catching up with the gang and seeing what has been happening since the last book. This book Ellie has opened her bakery but spending like there is no tomorrow. She has hired two new people Kate and Madison but can only keep one, then Madison gets competitive. Will she ruin everything? Will Katja/Kate secrets be told?

Like I said I missed Jaz, Fen features but she is in the background and still deliriously in love with Rob-yay! Ellie is the forefront as we watch her flourish and stress about opening a bakery and running it alongside her café. I still say I would love to visit there and quite frankly live in Sunnybrook. So much countryside around and of course the infamous Duck Pond.

I really enjoyed this little novella, with new characters to keep it fresh and of course Maisie’s new pal, Little Maisie was just darn cute. Maisie and her inquisitive mind and application to life reminds me of my little one, just hope she stay just as cute!!

Both newbies bring something new to the book, you have Katja and her insecurities and the loss of her mother and the tough time she had growing up in Norfolk. Madison has her own heartache with her family but you wouldn’t know it with her behaviour. When she wasn’t frustrating me she was making me chuckle, and reflecting back I understood why she did what she did. Lack of confidence with both girls shone through and once the walls started to fall, a wonderful friendship group is made.

I can not wait for the next one in the series (for a sneak peek look down below) as I loved how this Duck Pond story finished. This series is like being reacquainted with old friends, the bonds are unbreakable, the love is real and it leaves warm fuzzy feelings within you.

I have loved every single one of these books and I think it is such a cute series to boot. I can see this expanding and expanding without losing sight of the original characters. Sunnybrook has so much more to give and I hope we are giving the chance to get it.
