I started this series with book 4, but have been wanting to circle back, because I have grown to love all these guys so much and really wanted to get to know them better.
This was a solid start to the series, which I think has gotten better. It was fun and sexy and had a nice dose of drama mixed with lots of laughs. The standout for me was Duper. I liked Dupree in later books, but I adored him in this one.
I liked Lovey enough, and will admit, she grew on me. I do think she evolved over the course of the book, and I understand that the whole time was a period of growth for her, as she left her home, her job, her boyfriend, and was starting anew.
A super strong and sweet ending left me with a huge smile, and I look forward to reading more of the Aces books.
