Don't get me wrong, I really liked the book, its just that the ending ruined it. I feel like I was standing in line at my favorite artists concert, and I go in, they play all these amazing songs, then end it with ring around the roses. Needless to say, If i could just chop of the entire end half of my book/ get back all the time I wasted, then I would give it 5 stars. IDK, I had some high expectations for this book that was not met.
Then on top of it, just when Tris and Four are starting to make up and start to form a real relationship, Tris dies. really? I saw this quote the other day that sums up why I really don't like the book, It went along the lines of "When writing Dystopian books, you have to keep in mind that the end has to give you hope for a better future". Sorry, but when I read this, I just kinda thought "Why the heak did I even pick up this series?" I got im danny phantom sense of hope, just acceptance. Four got wimpier in this book which I hate and this was kinda a huge let down. But hey, Its not my book to write so eh.
To be honest, Tris' death didn't really hit me until a few hours later, thats when I realized she's never coming back, I mean I thought I hated Hunger games' MockingJays ending but honestly, I can still go back and read that book.
idk, I only read it cause I read the other books, but lets be honest, If I knew how it was going to end before I read it, I could have spent my time reading another book that didn't make me cry
I would only recommend it if your ready for heartbreak.
