And before I forget, with all the magic and Neryn's knowledge of herbs, it seems unbelievable that Neryn is so afraid to have sex because the possibility of bearing a child when the future is so uncertain is irresponsible. I mean, don't they have an Alban version of a contraceptive tonic or something like that? Look, I really don't want to make this into a big deal but the author made an effort to write a whole fucking paragraph about this. And she wrote another one, tackling the same thing, in Book 3.
