I remember when this book first came out I was seeing it all over Instagram and now I have read I know that it was for good reason. This story captivated me right away. It alternated between diary entries set in the past and then the events of current day. The diary entries are what really got my attention in the story but I also really like Hannah, the main character.

As a true crime consumer I was really interested in the work Hannah was doing with the innocence project. The book talks a lot about the pros and cons on the project and I think that the author brings up really good points.

There was a bit of what seemed to be a legally blonde inspired moment at the end but it wasn't cheesy or anything and I actually enjoyed it.

I also really liked the twist in the end. I didn't see it coming at all. I definitely want to read other books by this author.
