From the opening pages, I was chuckling away and was swept away in the story of Sara and Ian. Amooi never fails to disappoint in his stories, he will make me smile, laugh out loud (and a lot) and make my eyes leak. His books really do fill me with so much joy and I love how true love runs in his books.

So much happens in Kissing Frogs yet it was over way too quickly. I felt like I have opened the book and the next thing it was over! I mean how dare it. This is how easy it is to fall in love with Amooi’s writing and characters. Whenever I read one of his books I am instantly cheered up, they get me out of a funk and they make me believe again in love and happiness (bit deep there!).

It is a classic tale of misconceptions and a lot of crazy dates! Could 1 girl have the worse luck on her dates? But all the while she is crazy about her neighbour but her past is preventing her from making a go of it. Plus why is Ian always out with a different girl, a different younger girl, this could only mean trouble.

One thing you can’t deny despite all the things that could be keeping them apart is their chemistry. It is electric! Plus their banter had me chuckling to myself. I kinda guessed how the story would end, but I don’t care, Amooi makes me care about the characters and I just sat there smiling. The one thing I know is once I have finished one of his books, I know the characters are safe and happy and most importantly in love!

As always Amooi hits the nail on the head from the woman’s point of view, but in this book, we get the man’s point of view too. The chapters flit between Sara and Ian, same situation but we flit into their heads as if we are the ones living the situation as them.

One of my favourite characters in this book…Kili….you need to read the book to find out why!

It is definitely another cute love story from Amooi and one to enjoy with a glass of wine (or tea) sit back and immerse yourself into. Even though it’s over 200 pages you won’t feel it and it will be over before you know it!

This was the 3rd book Amooi wrote and it is like he has been crafting for years!
