One Night with a Billionaire by Jessica Clare

One Night with a Billionaire (Billionaire Boys Club, #6)

by Jessica Clare

The New York Times bestselling author of The Wrong Billionaire’s Bed delivers a delicious new novel about a secret society of six men who are incredibly wealthy—but not always so successful when it comes to love…

Kylie may be a makeup artist to the stars, but she knows what it feels like to be overshadowed. Especially by her famous boss, the pop star Daphne. That’s why she’s stunned—and delighted—when one night at a party, she attracts the attention of a gorgeous stranger. But when Daphne decides she wants the handsome billionaire for herself, Cade Archer is suddenly off-limits for Kylie…

Cade has known Daphne for years, and always wondered if she might be the right woman for him—even though she never gave him the time of day. But one sizzling night with Kylie has changed everything. So why is she suddenly avoiding him? Fortunately Cade is determined to get what he wants, and he’ll do anything to show Kylie she can get everything she wants too…

Thank you Lord for making Cade realize, although it took long enough, that Daphne is beyond redemption at this point. Cade is by far the sweetest of the billionaires, there is no disputing that, but his insistence on only seeing the good in Daphne was starting to get aggravating. Thankfully all it took was Daphne being her usual selfish self and someone else being the kind person Cade really needs. Kylie, makeup artist to the stars was the right person at the right time.

The roller coaster ride of a relationship with these two was entertaining to watch. Cade was determined that their night together was not going to be a one night stand and Kylie was just as adamant that it would remain just one night… every single time they were together. My only concern which I’m surprised was not brought up by Kylie at any point was that she was a replacement for Daphne. She never worried or wondered if she could possible be a rebound for Cade.

Although more than once I did feel he should have just told Daphne the truth and stop treating her like a child that can’t handle the truth, I understood Kylie hesitating due to needing the money for her grandmother’s care. Kylie not wanting to rely on Cade’s money to take care of her expenses and debt just gave me something else to admire about her. I absolutely loved the characters and thought Kylie was perfect for Cade. I am so glad he finally got his Happily Ever After! This book was reviewed by a member of the review staff at Cocktails and Books. The name of the reviewer can be found under the post categories.
