Both stories are alternating full color, with black and white illustrations and while using different artists, both are enchanting. Definitely fuel for the imagination.

A Tree is Nice is a tall book, which makes me think of a tree and I'm sure might have the same affect on a child. It is full of children and family images that provide lots of starting points for discussion. There is also a good sequence and activity prompt toward the end on a page that gives step by step on how to plant a tree. Through out the book it covers various seasons and the benefits from trees and would be a good read any time of the year.

We always love the suggestions from Memoria Press Reading Lists, and this one is definitely another one we're glad to have on our shelf for re-reads.
