The Bliss

by Jacqueline Navin

Accused of his father's murder, Morgan Gage--referred to as "the Wicked Earl of Waring" by the "ton"-- cannot return to normal life until he clears his name. For that, he'll need a plan. Once marred by scandal, the charming and beautiful Leah Brodie now has the "ton" wrapped around her finger. She's perfect for Morgan's plan--until they fall in love. Original.

In some ways this does ring true about what would happen to a young woman with a lot of intelligence and energy would stumble her way through regency life.

Leah Brodie has set the ton on it's collective ear and is resting up at a friend's house. While on a ride she is almost kidnapped by Morgan Gage the "wicked Earl of Waring", and finds herself embroiled in his schemes to find out how and why his father died.

Fun but there were parts that felt a little too modern.
