I have never read this author before and this was the first New Adult book I have read in a while. This is a good book. Chloe is a lovable character and she is great with the kids she babysits. Honestly, I wish I was as good with my own kids as Chloe is with the Reed kids. The Reeds ask Chloe to come with them to their summer house to basically be the nanny for the kids and she agrees, after all, it's good money and she enjoys spending time with the kids. While there the Reed's oldest son, Tyler shows up. Already in college and famous around town for his athletic ability, Chloe is a bit intimidated by him but strangely drawn to him as well. They begin spending time together and falls pretty hard for him, much to Tyler's mother's dismay. They part ways at the end of the summer and Chloe heads off to law school forcing herself to forget her fling with Tyler until one night when he calls her. The events that occue because of that one phone calls forever changes both of their lives forever.
Tyler was insanely frustrating. Leading Chloe on the way he did when they were at the summer home. I related to Chloe is the way that she kept going back to him. The novels spans great deal of time but it flows so well that it's not confusing. The characters were believable, especially Cam, Chloe's friend from college. He is funny and amazing and I was yelling at Chloe to just forget Tyler and be with Cam!
This novel really does its best to show how life is such a rollar coaster and things change so quickly and drastically, all the while being believable and not far fetched at all. I really got caught up in the characters and the twists the novel took. A book I would read again and again and make room on my book shelf for.
