The first half deals with the Event Standoff, which could be confusing if you aren't reading the other books in this event.

The second half of the story is good and we get to see a new character, Wasp. We learn a bit about who she is and some of her back story. We also get a piece at the end that teases us, that there might be more to her story then maybe she's telling.
